Landscaping
A landscaping website that finally looks like Plandscape’s yards
Plandscape has designed and built high-end landscapes across Kane County since 1988, but their old website made that work hard to see. We rebuilt the site around their projects, made every service reachable from every page, and set up templates to add new work.

Finished ahead of schedule

Client
Plandscape, Inc.
What they do
Commercial and residential landscape design and construction
What we did
Website redesign, on-page SEO, lead tracking, ongoing Google Ads
Built on
WordPress with page templates their team can fill in themselves
What changed
Every service is reachable from every page, instead of only from the homepage.
A modern design that finally matches the level of work in the photos.
New project and service pages take minutes to add, not a design project.
Start with the homepage
Here’s the old homepage next to the new one. Drag to compare. The slider earned a spot on their site too: the old transformations page showed two unlabeled photos side by side, now visitors see a backyard change in one motion.

How the site got built
Just as Plandscape’s own designers draft on blueprints before breaking ground, we plan every page before touching WordPress. It saves time and it means nobody’s surprised at the end.
01
Research
We went through the existing site page by page, then looked at competitor sites to see where Plandscape could stand out.
02
Sitemap
With a lot of services and projects to show, navigation was the priority. The sitemap set how pages connect before anything was designed.
03
Wireframes
Every page got a wireframe first, so designers and writers could work at the same time and stay aligned.
04
Build
We built it in WordPress with custom code and a dynamic services menu. The site finished ahead of schedule, which left extra time for Plandscape’s feedback.
A walk through the new site
Plandscape already had a brand customers knew from their trucks, shirts, and print. The job was to bring it online without losing it, then fill the gaps where the web needed more.
The recognizable brand
We kept the existing palette, heavy on dark and light greens, plus a few supporting tones for headings and backgrounds. Libre Baskerville carries the headings and Work Sans the body copy, so pages finally have a hierarchy.
Why it matters: Customers recognize them online the same way they do on a jobsite, and they can scan a page in seconds.
The diamond services menu
On the homepage, the services menu is built around a diamond shape that also runs through the animated service icons and section dividers. A smaller version sits on every service and project page, so you can jump to another service from anywhere.
Why it matters: It leans into a luxury feel that fits the work, and people move between services without starting over at the homepage.
A project page
Each project page was rewritten so you feel like you’re on site watching it come together, and each one is tied to the service it shows off. The process section became four photo blocks instead of four paragraphs.
Why it matters: Proof sits right next to the service it sells, and the photos do half the talking.
